Thankful friday

Thankful today,

For His everlasting love,
For His unmerited grace,
For His hope,
For His mercy,
For His faithfulness,
For His power,
For His glory,

For His presence,
For His holiness,
For His perfection,
For His comfort,
For His healing,
For His forgiveness,
For His peace,
For His joy,
For His salvation,
For His redemption,
For His Son,
For His Holy Spirit dwelling in us.

Father, I am so grateful that you are a just God. That you did not let my sin go unpunished but you sent your son Jesus to live the life that I should have lived and die the death that I so rightly deserve. That in the midst of my chaos and busyness you are always by my side and you will never let me go. Thank you Jesus for your precious blood. For dying a cruel death on the cross. Thank you because you guide my destiny. Lord help me to trust you in moments of doubt and unbelief. Spirit teach me how to find our hope in you and you alone. Thank you because you work all things together for my good and in the end you get all the glory and I get to enjoy you for all eternity. Amen.

what are you thankful for?

Today is my birthday!

I am so grateful for everything The Lord has blessed me with.

29 years ago He gave me life.

5 1/2 years ago He gave me Anthony (my husband).

1 1/2 years ago He gave me Ethan (my son).

I thank Him for the family He chose for me. I thank Him for A wonderful mother who instructed me to walk in His path and for three handsome brothers who rough housed me and who were also very overly protective of me.
Today I am the woman God has created me to be. I am forever thankful.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future. " - Proverbs 31:25

A new life is born

Today at 1:07 am with great anticipation and NO sleep, we welcomed my nephew Caleb Rodriguez.
Lucky for me I work in the hospital so during my shift I was able to go back and forth and spend time with my brother and his wife Nalia during those awesome moments of contractions, tears, and laughter.

We HAD to have our sweeeeeet coffee :)
Followed by a late dinner, a sweet 9.1 pound baby and tears of joy.

Lake Champion

Two weeks ago I attended a women's retreat lead by my home church. I was a bit skeptical at first in going because that would've meant leaving the little one alone with my husband for the first time since he was born. After much thought and prayer I decided to sign up for the retreat a few hours before the deadline. Boy am I glad I did.

It. Was. Phenomenal.

Upon arrival I immediately realized how much I needed to get away and be with the Lord. Not to say I can't be with Him in the city, but there's something wonderful about retreating and fellowshipping with other Jesus loving women, away from the stresses of family life.

The weather could not have been any better. The air could not smelled any fresher. The birds could not have sung any more beautifully.

This was my time.
Just me and the Lord.

Our God is an awesome God. He extended grace to us when we didn't deserve it. He bore our sin on the cross and took the punishment we deserved. He rose from the dead giving us life through His Spirit. He rules over us with loving kindness. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. My heart will forever praise Him!
